On May 1, 2026, the national standard GB/T6109 series enameled round winding wire, which was drafted and revised by Wuxi Youfaun Electric Co., Ltd. as the main drafting unit, was officially implemented. This series of standards was approved and released by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration on October 5, 2025. It fully replaces the old standards of 2008 and is the core basic specification in the field of enameled wire in China.
The standards extensively participated in by friendly electricians in this revision include GB/T6109.1-2025 "Enamel Round Winding Wire Part 1: General Provisions", GB/T6109.5-2025 "Enamel Round Winding Wire Part 5: 180 Grade Polyesterimide Enamel Copper Round Wire", and GB/T6109.22-2025 "Enamel Round Winding Wire Part 22: 240 Grade Aromatic Polyimide Enamel Copper Round Wire", all of which are equivalent to using international IEC standards.
The revised standard optimizes core technical indicators such as enameled wire size, resistance, elongation, and breakdown voltage, improves testing methods and performance requirements, and further enhances the universality, reliability, and adaptability of enameled wire products. It is of great significance for standardizing industry production and promoting the upgrading of high-end electromagnetic wire technology.
